Horizon Campaign
Looking to the Future

The Horizon Campaign is Coast to Coast for Hope’s first major strategic fundraising campaign. Its goal is to grow the organization beyond any limits imagined before the inaugural ride.
The term “horizon” was chosen for the campaign because the term denotes a distant, alluring and ultimately achievable goal. In an individual’s struggle against cancer or during one’s bicycle ride across the country, this concept of a horizon is a source of hope. Our organization is now focused on a particular horizon: a new generation of riders embarking on coast to coast rides to help advance our goal of active philanthropy and continue the struggle against cancer and other life-threatening diseases.
The Horizon Campaign addresses two channels of growth – external and internal. Each is entirely dependent upon the other, as internal improvement will be impossible without external support, and expanding an external network is meaningless without the internal actions that advance the organization’s mission:
- External: Build key relationships with corporate donors, individual major donors, colleges and universities, other non-profits and other public institutions
- Internal: Re-organize through investments in operating infrastructure to create a robust organization capable of effectively and efficiently carrying out basic functions
In short, Coast to Coast for Hope is looking for support to help us reach out to new generations of riders. We are interested in teaming with other organizations and businesses that approve of our active philanthropy philosophy. Both monetary support and volunteer commitment is welcomed.
